"The Street Dog" is the first in a planned series of children's books geared for kids and appreciated by dog lovers of all ages.

Walt is a Pit bull dog who spent his early years as a homeless stray, roaming the streets of the inner city. He and his buddies are eventually captured and sent to the pound.

"The Street Dog" promotes the idea of just being yourself rather than trying to imitate others as Walt, desperate to find his own special person, tries to attract a potential family and only ends up looking silly.

Issues like adoption, acceptance, bullying, embracing diversity, cleaning the local environment and equality are addressed in future books of the series.
